Four courses, delivered on-site by Ofqual-assessed trainers and informed by clinical psychology. Each stands alone. Together they build a whole-school approach to behaviour and wellbeing.

Training courses for schools

Positive Intervention

Our core course

Our six-module positive handling and behaviour management programme. Staff learn to understand behaviour, de-escalate and, only as a last resort, intervene physically, safely and within the law.

Trauma Informed Practice

Help your whole staff understand and support pupils who have experienced adverse childhood experiences. Nearly half of all children in the UK have been exposed to at least one. Trauma can have a deep and lasting effect on behaviour, learning and development, and this course puts pupils' emotional and psychological wellbeing at the centre of school life.

  • Five trauma-informed principles embedded throughout

  • The neuroscience of trauma and ACEs, explained clearly

  • A change in whole-school culture, not a single intervention

  • Restorative practice, regulation and co-regulation strategie

The five principles

Principle
What it means in school
Safety
Environments are physically and emotionally secure
Trustworthiness
Decisions are made openly, so pupils and staff can trust them
Choice
Pupils are given clear options about their support
Collaboration
Staff and pupils make decisions together
Empowerment
Pupils' strengths are recognised and built on

Youth Mental Health First Aid

One in five children aged 8 to 16 now has a probable mental health disorder [source]. This course trains staff to recognize when a pupil or colleague is struggling and to give first support, much like physical first aid, until professional help is available.

  • Designed and delivered by practising clinical psychologists

  • Anxiety, mood disorders, self-harm and crisis response

  • Builds a tiered system of mental health support in your school

  • Gives staff the confidence to respond well in difficult moments

A tiered system of support

Half of all mental health conditions are established by the age of 14, which puts school staff on the front line.

Tier
What it covers
Mental health basics
Child and adolescent development, mentally healthy classrooms, spotting concerns early, reducing stigma
Targeted support
Anxiety and mood disorders, attachment-informed and trauma-responsive practice, classroom strategies, working with parents and carers
Crisis response
De-escalation for acute distress, managing self-harm and suicidal thoughts, support after an incident
Guidance and law
DfE guidance, reasonable force, the Equality Act and SEND, whole-school wellbeing policy
